Wayne 519 Visible History & Information

The 1920’s Wayne 519 gas pump has a glass cylinder for the customer to be able to see what the gas looks like before dispensing it into their vehicle. Gas was frequently dirty in the 1920s and plugged up carburetors, so people wanted to see before dispensing. These pumps were manufactured by the Wayne Tank & Pump Company in Ft Wayne, IN.
